Gladys Brodsky (Contemporary)

Gladys Brodsky's work conveys strong emotions in the unapologetic presentation of bodies in natural glory, lumps, bumps and all. A pioneer in the art movement in Woodstock since the 1940's, Brodsky was on the Board of the Woodstock Arts Association in 1954 and inspired and nurtured other artists alongside her husband, Walter "Bud" Plate, the famed Abstract Expressionist.
